How to Clean a Computer Keyboard

You need the following things to clean the keyboard of your computer. A cloth which is lint free, a dry cloth or a duster, cleaning fluid such as alcohol, cotton bud, a can with compressed air (a vacuum cleaner will also do) and a screw driver which is flat tipped.

First turn off the computer and remove the connections. Shake the keyboard to remove dirt and debris accumulated on and between the keys. Blow the debris with the can of compressed air, or you can clean it with the vacuum cleaner. The keys' sides should be cleaned with cotton and cleaning fluid. Now make use of cotton swab or cloth which is lint free and pour a little quantity of fluid on it and clean the surface. Do not wet the cloth. It should be moist. Now wipe the keyboard with a duster or a dry cloth. This way you can clean your keyboard whenever it needs cleaning.

If you want to clean the keyboard meticulously, remove all the keys using a screwdriver. For this, push the screwdriver gently under the key and lift it. Be extremely careful while removing the keys. Once the keys are removed, clean the dirt and debris on the keyboard. All the keys should be cleaned with a cloth and cleaning fluid. Then use a dry cloth to wipe it dry.
