In this day and age, if you do not own a cellular phone your friends and families will surly want to know why. It is more common for someone to own a cellular phone than for someone not to. When the cellular phone companies first began offering long term services for a mobile phone they made you sign a contract that secured them your business for sometimes up to three or four years. This was a long time to stay committed to a particular provider but it was a common thing.
When they were told how long the contract was going to cover they were not surprised at all. In fact they gladly signed and were extremely happy about their new phone. There was a catch though. If you made a change in your plan you your contract was extended for three or four years from the time that you made the change. Even if you had already fulfilled two of the three years on your contract before you made a change, you had another three to four years added back on when the change took place. The cellular phone companies were defiantly in control.
The deals for the cellular phones started getting better and better. There are now many different carriers that you can choose from and the packages that they are offering are outstanding. The twelve month contract phones are one of them.
The twelve month contract phones typically come with a great modern looking phone for free or for just a small fee. Your contract will be for one year of service and your monthly rate will be low depending on the plan that you choose.
Because you have signed up for the twelve month contract and the cellular phone company is guaranteed your business for a year they are more willing to absorb the cost of the phone and give it to you at a very small fee if any fee at all. When you have a monthly cellular phone plan you will also have the benefit of a fixed bill for the month if you stay under you allowed minutes for the month. Consistency is great for someone who budgets their payments every month.
The 12 month contract phones are a great idea and the cell phone companies have really done a great job with them. They have come up with a plan that is reasonable for most people. It has taken some time to get from times of the extremely long contracts to this we, as consumers, are glad to be here.
